Autumn fruits: grapes and Japanese pears


In Japan, it is said autumn is the best season to have a good appetite.

In autumn, there are many delicious seasonal foods. Among them, grape and pear are popular autumn fruits. (To be honest, I have only these fruits at home now...😛)

How do you eat grapes and pears?

We Japanese peel and cut pears to eat them with a fork or "yoji," a toothpick.

For grapes, whether they peel or not depends on the person.

I peeled the grapes today. It is easy to skin after steeping them in boiling water. It's just like peeling off tomatoes in hot water. Have a try!😉
