Celebration of Respect-for-the-Aged
Japan has the highest life expectancy in the world.
My grandmother lived to be 108 years old.
“Keirounohi,” Respect-for-the-Aged Day” today. It's one of the unique Japanese national holidays.
It is celebrated on the 3rd Monday of September every year.
On this day, people often visit their grandparents to please them by giving them presents or having dinner together.
Local governments also hold special events to show respect to and entertain the senior citizens.
Do you have Respect-for-the-Aged Day in your country? How do you celebrate?
To all the grandparents in the world, Happy Seniors' Day!👴👵💕
