Building blocks
Hi. Thank you for visiting my website😄
It was raining hard, but it stopped now.
At 8 this morning, I did an online lesson about Japanese table manners. One of the students is a mother of children in elementary school. She seemed very busy due to an unexpected event😅 I thank her for taking time out of her busy schedules to attend the lesson.
Speaking of childcare, today is "Ikumen Day." Just like rhyme in English, October 19, 10/19, can be pronounced "Otousan Ikuji," which means fathers who play an active role in child raising. Actually, I could not find the proper English wording for Ikumen. Maybe it’s because in Japan it was considered unusual for fathers to raise children, and the word "Ikumen" was made to promote men's involvement in parenting.
Seen from the global standard, there are not many Japanese fathers who can take paternity leave yet. Recently, however, I've come to see more Japanese fathers taking their children to daycare in the morning. Good luck daddy!😊
My father was eager "Ikumen". He told me a lot of things. I really appreciate what he has done for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment! Your father is so nice. You must be happy.
