Mt. Fuji

 Today's Mt. Fuji

Diamond Fuji

Hello. How is is going?๐Ÿ˜ƒ
It's a bit cold today. I saw some people wearing coats in the street.

The theme of today is Mt. Fuji. The first photo was taken by Hosoya Saeko sensei, who lives in Kanagawa prefecture south of Tokyo. And she sometimes goes to Shizuoka for work, which is where Mt. Fuji is. So she can take pictures of Mt. Fuji during commuting. This is one of the photos taken by Hosoya sensei๐Ÿ˜ I wish I could see Mount Fuji everyday!

As you all know, Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan. It is an active volcano which is located between Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures. In 2013, Mt. Fuji was registered as a World Heritage site as the sacred place and source of artistic inspiration. We are proud of the symbol of Japanese beauty and culture.

You can see Diamond Fuji at this time of the year, from October to February, at Lake Yamanaka, one of the Fuji Five Lakes. It is a very beautiful phenomenon in which the sun appears like a diamond when it overlaps the top of the mountain.

On clear days, you can see Mt. Fuji from the north windows of the Shinkansen bullet trains running between Tokyo and Osaka. When you visit Japan, please take a look at Mt. Fuji!๐Ÿ˜‰
