"Shimotsuki"

November starts

Hello😃

It's November already. How fast time flies!😲

Do you remember I told you about the Japanese old calendar before? November is also called "Shimotsuki" in the lunar calendar. It means the month of frost.

Japanese people use two calendars: the old lunar calendar and the new solar calendar. We usually live everyday life according to the new calendar. But in the case of the seasonal and traditional events, the old calendar is still used today.

It is the same of how to call the month. The naming of each month represents the beauty of each season. That's how we feel closer to the season😊
