Labor Thanksgiving Day
Hello. This morning I gave an online lesson about Japanese table manners. The participant is a man who has abundant knowledge and experience about various things, so we had a great conversation😊
It's Labor Thanksgiving Day today. At the same time, the harvest festivals called "Niinamesai" take place at shrines around the country. It's also called "Niiname-no-matsuri or Shinjosai, a ritual in which the Emperor offers newly harvested rice to the deities of heaven and earth to express gratitude for the harvest.
It changed its name into "Kinrokansha-no-hi," Labor Thanksgiving Day, in order to give thanks to not only rice harvest but also all sorts of labors.
Do you have “Labor Thanksgiving Day” in your country?😊
