Fuku-mukae mochi and "sencha" or middle-grade green tea
Hello. It's been a week since I last updated this blog😆
What tea and sweets do you have for a tea break? I enjoy tea, coffee with cakes. Japanese green tea and "wagashi" or Japanese traditional sweets also go well together!😋
This is "Fuku-mukae mochi" made by a Japanese-style confectionary store called
"Fukudaya," in Kumamoto, which is located in the center of Kyushu. ”Fuku-mukae" means "to welcome good fortune," and "mochi" rice cake. It's a product for the Kumamoto Earthquake Reconstruction Project. When you buy a box of the sweets, 50 yen a box is donated as the financial support for reconstructing Kumamoto Castle and park, which suffered from strong earthquakes in 2016.
Enjoy a tea break!😊
