”Hatsu-yume"

"Shichifukujin" or Seven Lucky Gods on "Takara-bune" or treasure ship

Mt. Fuji, Hawk, and Eggplants

Hello😃

By the way, have you already had your first dream of this year? We call the dream "Hatsu-yume," which is the second "Hatsu" series of this blog.

It is said to be auspicious that having a dream of "Mt. Fuji, a hawk or an eggplant" in the first night of the year. And we express these lucky items as "Ichi-fuji, Ni-taka, and San-nasubi" or "Mt. Fuji for the 1st, hawk for the 2nd and eggplant for the 3rd'."

There are some theories for this tradition, but most famous are the following two; One is that Tokugawa Ieyasu liked these three things, and the other is that "Fuji" has a similar sound to "buji," which means "safe," "Taka" means "high," and "Nasu" of eggplant means "achieve." Actually, it still have more; "Shi-ougi, Go-tabako, and Roku-zatou," which means "Folding fan for the 4th, Cigarette for the 5th, and "Zato" or a blind man for the 6th," are also said to be good omens for the first dream of the year.

I'm telling you the magic spell to make you have a good "Hatsu-yume"😉 If you put a picture of "Shichifukujin" or Lucky Seven Gods on "Takara-bune" or treasure ship under your pillow, you have a good "Hatsu-yume." Try this on next New Year!

Best wishes😊
