Canola flowers seasoned with sesame sauce
Canola flower is called "Nanohana" in Japanese
March has begun!
March is called "Yayoi" by Japanese lunar calendar. It means the month that plants grow thickly. It's also the season when wintering creatures such as insects, frogs, and snakes come out from hibernation.
This month has another name "Hanamizuki," which means the best season for enjoying the beauty of flowers. One of the spring flowers is "Nanohana" or canola flower. We not only enjoy viewing canola flowers but also eat them. The seasonal spring food has a bitter taste. In Japan, it is believed to be healthy to eat bitter food in spring. Bitterness helps us get rid of the body's toxins which accumulate during winter.
Let's detox with spring food and wait for spring to come♪ Spring is almost here💛
