Hello. Great to see you again😃
It's been getting warmer recently. I can feel spring in the air.

Today's blog theme is "Ume" blossoms. "Ume," Japanese apricot or plum blossoms are full bloom now. They usually bloom in late February or early March in my neighborhood.

"Ume" has been loved for a long time in Japan. It was read in "Manyoshu," the oldest collection of Japanese poems. "Ume" has been a motif of Japanese traditional arts like "Haiku," "Kabuki, and Japanese paintings.

"Ume" is said to have "good flower, good scent, and good fruit" in Japan. Japanese people enjoy the flower and scent of Ume blossoms, and eat and drink "ume" fruits in various ways. For example, "Ume-boshi" or picked plum is one of Japanese traditional foods. It tastes sour and salty, and has health benefits like bactericidal activity. It's indispensable for "bento" or boxed lunch and "onigiri," rice ball.

Next time, in April, it's the best season for cherry blossoms. I'll post about "sakura" at that time!😃
