Illuminated ”Sei” monument on the side of the Muko River in Takarazuka city
The kanji character "sei" and Hankyu train
Hello.
It's been twenty seven years since the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake of 1995.
The "sei" monument on the riverside and the Kanji "sei” shaped with stones were lit up last night. "Sei" means "life," and these monuments are illuminated at a memorial ceremony to mark the anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake every year. (For more information, please take a look at the post "Life monument.")
May the souls of the victims rest in peace, and may everyone live a happy life.
